We're dedicated to preserving our hunting heritage through increased access, outdoor education and mentorship.
Read MoreHistory tells us that traditions are not permanent and they are never guaranteed.
As with most outdoor pursuits, hunting was once mainstream. From the first day our Founding Fathers landed in the ‘New World’, hunting and fishing was a way of life. But today, our children are more disconnected from nature than at any other time in human history, while rampant urbanization, animal rights activists and other social changes are causing an alarming decline in hunter participation.
Our decreasing numbers of hunters should alarm all of us — not simply because hunting is a liberty which could vanish if not aggressively defended, but because sportsmen are the single largest group to fund and support state and national conservation efforts.
The solution lies with our youth. Without their involvement today, our hunting heritage could disappear within the next 20 to 30 years.
Working in conjunction with the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance, the Hunter Heritage Foundation is working to turnaround this trend. By supporting outdoor education in schools, hosting youth camps and increasing youth hunting opportunities, we can preserve the hunting spirit and teach our children responsible conservation and land stewardship.
Please help the Hunter Heritage Foundation so we can introduce the outdoors to more children and preserve our American outdoor traditions for the next generation. Our future is now.
